How to Sell on EBay

So the key to selling on EBay is having items people want.

*If selling eletronics, always do some research and check prices and values at major stores as well as on Ebay.

*If a nearby store is going out of business, it is okay to buy products 80-90% off but I wouldn't recommend anything less. It is key to do research before going in to buy the items. Have an idea of what items will be your best sellers when you go into the store on the last few days they are open. Even though most of the good stuff will be done, you will still have a good idea what to get.

*Take very clear pictures and have many pictures so people can see closeups of a tag on a shirt or the image printed on a CD.

*Clothes sell better when they are of a wanted brand and are new with the tag. But if you do have used clothes, try to bundle them by type and sell them appropriately.
Example: Bundle women's summer blouses and sell in the spring in anticipation of the summer.

*If using a stock photo (photo copied from the original manufacturer), please indicate visibly in the description that it is a stock photo and that your item looks exactly the same or has a minor detail.

*If your item doesn't have a single bid but has at least 3 watchers, consider pushing the price down a bit two days before the sale ends.

*For selling gift cards: you may only post one gift card up at a time, put the price at 80% of the actual amount on the gift card, and stock photos may be used.

*Many people don't know this but on the left hand link box where you can filter out what you are searching for, there is also a link that says "Completed Listings." This is useful in seeing how well others did with selling your item or a similar item. This was you will get a good idea of how your item will do.
